How to Prepare for CSEET in 60 Days: Study Plan & Tips
CSEET's current structure (in effect from the June 2026 session) has four papers โ three subjective, one OMR-based โ which means both conceptual understanding and answer-writing practice matter. Sixty days is a comfortable middle ground: tighter than a full 3-month plan, less intense than a 30-day sprint. See our 30-day plan or 3-month plan if your timeline is different.
CSEET Exam Pattern Recap
- Business Communication โ 100 marks, subjective, 3 hours
- Fundamentals of Accounting โ 100 marks, subjective, 3 hours
- Economic & Business Environment โ 100 marks, subjective, 3 hours
- Business Laws and Management โ 100 marks, OMR-based, 2 hours
Three papers require structured written answers; the fourth rewards fast, accurate objective-question practice. See our full CSEET syllabus guide for a subject-wise breakdown.
Days 1โ20: Build the Foundation
- Cover each subject's full syllabus once, focusing on understanding concepts rather than speed.
- Make concise notes per chapter โ these become your revision material for the last 15 days.
- If you're weak in accounting, start extra numerical practice now โ it compounds significantly by exam day.
Days 21โ45: Practice & Strengthen Weak Areas
- Begin solving ICSI's official mock papers and sample questions for each paper.
- Practise full written answers for Business Communication, Accounting and Economic & Business Environment โ not just reading them.
- Drill objective questions for Business Laws and Management under time pressure.
- Take one full-length timed mock test per week under exam conditions.
Days 46โ60: Revision & Mock Exam Sprint
- Switch entirely to revision mode โ no new topics.
- Take 2โ3 full mock tests per week, reviewing every incorrect or weak answer in detail.
- Revise your condensed notes daily, subject-by-subject on rotation.
- In the final few days, focus only on high-frequency topics and your weakest paper.
Subject-wise Quick Tips
- Business Communication: Focus on grammar, comprehension practice and formal writing formats.
- Fundamentals of Accounting: Practise numerical problems daily โ reading alone will not build the speed you need.
- Economic & Business Environment: Use diagrams and flowcharts to retain concepts; link theory to real business examples.
- Business Laws and Management: Build conceptual clarity in both components (60 marks law, 40 marks management) and practise timed OMR-style questions.
Exam Day Strategy
For the three subjective papers, plan your time per question before writing โ a well-structured partial answer scores better than a rushed complete one. For the OMR paper, don't dwell too long on any single question; mark it and move on, then return if time allows.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Treating this as a purely objective exam โ three of the four papers require real written answers.
- Skipping mock tests โ they are the single best predictor of your real exam readiness.
- Ignoring weak subjects (accounting is the most common one) until the final week instead of addressing them early.
