CSEET Exam Pattern: Marks, Passing Criteria & Preparation Strategy
Current CSEET Exam Pattern
| Subject | Marks | Pattern | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Communication | 100 | Subjective | 3 hours |
| Fundamentals of Accounting | 100 | Subjective | 3 hours |
| Economic and Business Environment | 100 | Subjective | 3 hours |
| Business Laws and Management | 100 | OMR | 2 hours |
The examination totals 400 marks across four papers.
Three Subjective Papers
Business Communication, Fundamentals of Accounting, and Economic and Business Environment are currently subjective papers. Practise structured answers, presentation, time management, clear explanations and appropriate terminology.
OMR-Based Paper
Business Laws and Management is currently OMR-based, requiring strong objective-question practice and careful question reading.
Passing Strategy
Consult the current ICSI regulations and examination instructions for applicable passing criteria โ don't rely on old CSEET passing-mark information, since the examination structure changed in 2026.
How to Prepare for the Pattern
For subjective papers: practise writing answers. For OMR: practise timed objective questions. For all papers: use Concepts + Questions + Tests + Revision.
The Biggest Mistake
Many students prepare only by reading. Reading is not enough โ you must test whether you can recall, apply, write, solve, and finish within time.
Final Week
Focus on revision, important concepts, past mistakes, mock papers and weak areas. Don't spend the final week trying to learn the entire syllabus from scratch.
